About Purchasing on FamilyCar.com.au

1. How can I pay for my goods?

We accept payment via Paypal, Visa and Mastercard and Direct Debit. If you would like to pay by credit card, select the Paypal option when choosing your payment method. When you are taken to the payment page, select the credit card option under the Paypal option. You do not need to have a Paypal account to pay by this method.

2. What is your refund and exchange policy?

We want you to be happy with your order from us. We will offer a refund or exchange if the product is faulty or the product does not match the description shown on our website.

Please let us know immediately if your product meets the return criteria above. You can do this by clicking here and emailing us. Please send the unused product back to us within 5 days and include the following information:

1. Your name and address

2. Your invoice number

3. The reason for the return of the goods.

We reserve the right to assess the condition of all returned goods prior to offering an exchange or refund. This may result in an exchange or refund being refused by us.

Please return your item back to us using Australia Post Registered Mail. We will not be responsible if an item is not received and has not been sent by this method.

3. How are the goods delivered?

Australian Delivery

Flat rate charge for delivery Australia wide is $7.00.

Your orders will be shipped within 2 business days of us receiving the cleared funds.

To ensure that you receive your goods safely, all orders will be shipped to you via Australia Post Registered Mail. This means that you will be required to sign for the goods. We suggest that you provide an address where you will be during the day. This may be your place of work. Delivery time is 1-4 working days. If you require your goods sooner, we can send them via Express Post Platinum at a cost of $13 for parcels up to 500gms. This service offers next business day delivery guarantee to most places in Australia. You will also need to sign for the goods with this option.

International Delivery-Please Call or Email To Place Order

All transactions are completed in Australian dollars. All orders will be shipped within 2 business days of us receiving the cleared funds.

To ensure that you receive your goods safely, all orders will be shipped to you via Australia Post International Registered Mail. This means that you will be required to sign for the goods. We suggest that you provide an address where you will be during the day. This may be your place of work. Delivery time is 3-14 working days depending on your country. The delivery cost will be approximately A$25 for up to 2kgs and this will be confirmed when you place the order.

About Carlashes™

1. Will Carlashes™ fit on my car?
Carlashes™ will fit on most vehicles’ headlights. There are several different Carlashes™ styles, each designed to fit different headlight shapes. Please contact us before ordering with your vehicle make and model so that you can order the correct Carlashes™ style.

2. How do the Carlashes™ attach to my car?
Carlashes™ attach with 3M double sided automotive trim tape. This tape has been used for years to attach exterior trim on cars. This is also the same tape used to attach many aftermarket items such as bug guards, wind guards, mirrors, and reflectors.

3. Will Carlashes™ go through a car wash?
Carlashes™ are flexible and if properly applied should go through a car wash without any problem.

4. Can I drive on the freeway?
Carlashes™ are designed to stay on the vehicle under normal driving conditions.

5. How do I remove the lashes?

Carlashes™ can be removed by slowly peeling them off. If the 3M tape sticks to the vehicle it can be removed by rolling the residue with a thumb or finger. Any remaining residue can be removed with a citrus cleaning agent or one designed for cars such as tar and bug remover spray.

6. Will the tape damage my car paint?
The 3M tape will not chemically interact with car paint, chrome, or glass.

7. What is the background of Carlashes™?

Carlashes™ are produced by Turbo Style Products, a company formed in January 2010 and based in Park City, Utah. Turbo Style’s mission is to be the leading supplier of female automotive aftermarket products.

1. How long do you test drive a car before posting a review?
To give an informed review we put the car through its regular paces. This will include some freeway driving, parking at shopping centres, filling the boot with groceries, gym gear, work equipment and of course driving your friends around. And when we're reviewing a family car, we'll put in the child restraints and cart them around too!

2. Why don't your reviews go into more mechanical detail?
The input that we've received from our visitors is that they can get brochures from the car companies that will provide them with this level detail. So we've focussed on the driveability, safety, comfort and convenience features of the car that you experience in your everyday driving.

3. Why don't you review used cars?
Used cars can vary enormously in how they are driven and kept. Also many used cars will have accessories added to them which could affect their performance. Which means that the review that we do on a certain model used car may not reflect the quality or drive of the same model used car you may be considering buying. Our user reviews will provide some assistance in this area.

4. Who can I talk to resolve an issue with a car dealer or mechanic?
Your first action is to bring it up with the company you are dealing with. Always put things in writing and clearly state what the problem is and the result you am looking for. If you are not happy with the outcome, each state has an Office or Department to deal with this.
