3 word summary
Classic, comfortable, versatile

If first impressions count for anything, the Audi A4 Sedan had me at hello.  The Audi A4 looks, feels and smells luxurious. Its well proportioned body, über cool LED headlights, beautifully soft, comfortable leather seats and well appointed interior give a lovely sense of value for money.  Luxurious, versatile, spacious, comfortable, economical…  it’s very hard to find fault with this car.

Driver Comfort & Visibility
As with most A4 models, this sedan has an air of stylish maturity which easily adapts to almost any situation. Attention to detail and quality build are two things I have come to expect as standard with Audi vehicles. The A4 Sedan is no exception. A well equipped cabin with a dash full of knobs, dials and displays deliver the latest in-car technology and audio gadgetry.  The multi-function steering, electric seats and wing mirrors make getting comfortable simple. Large, long side windows provide great visibility from all angles.

The quiet 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine has a lovely sound that delivers smooth and constant power and outstanding fuel economy (5.8litres/100km). Effortless power steering makes the A4 a breeze to handle – around town and at higher speeds on open winding roads. A quiet cabin and firm suspension delivers a very composed ride free from outside noise.

Safety
Safety is well covered, with driver, passenger and rear passenger air bags and Audi’s electronic stabilisation program. There’s also ABS and Electronic Brake force Distribution.

Storage
The A4 Sedan’s boot is cavernous to say the least. And engaging the split fold seats gives you even more space! Inside the cabin, the driver and front passenger have access to various storage spots - a centre console box, a small in dash hole, two good cup holders, another centre hole for a phone or coins, a roof mounted sunglasses holder, glove box and in door storage. The second row also has indoor storage.

Kids’ Comfort
The second row is very spacious and comfortable. Large lounge like seats and big side windows make the second row a pleasant place to be. Even the middle passenger isn’t too bad off – except for a slightly higher seating position and the drive shaft hump under foot. There’s also provision for three child seats.

Green Factor
The A4 deserves proper credit in the eco stakes with a combined fuel consumption of 5.8 litres/100km and a Greenhouse rating of 7.5/10. It puts some smaller sedans to shame.

Overall View
The A4 Sedan ticks all the boxes for me. I love the A4 Sedan and would live happily ever after driving this car on a daily basis. But don’t just take our word for it; the A4 TDI won Australia’s Best Car, Best Prestige Car Award in 2008.

Test Drive Tips
Enjoy.

If you’re considering buying this car you might also like to test drive the BMW 320i Executive, the Lexus IS250 Prestige or the Honda Accord Euro Luxury. There are a lot of cars fighting for this space.
